Case Studies

Reducing Carbon Emissions Whilst Meeting Year-Round Energy Demands

Sunderland City Council sought to reduce carbon emissions and improve energy efficiency at the Stansfield Business Centre. Working with Hamworthy and Compac, they implemented a hybrid heating solution featuring a Tyneham Air Source Heat Pump and a Stratton mk3 wall-hung boiler. This system optimises energy use by utilising the heat pump as the primary source and switching to the boiler when higher temperatures are required. The result is a reliable, low-carbon heating system with advanced control capabilities via a Building Management System (BMS).
